Different colour pools for custom requests. We have found that the dark colours tend to fade over a period of time and can be prematurely damaged by chemical overdose and neglect. We always recommend pastel shades as they age gracefully. (Mega Blue marbelite was discontinued in 2009 due to fading problems, usually caused by not testing or using salt systems at full output in winter) Darker colours have a tendency to be unpredictable when applied, especially fibreglass, as it is extremely difficult to apply in varying outdoor temperatures and conditions. Pool Pro is one of the few companies that will attempt dark fiberglass colours as we have a proven method that has had only two failures in the past three years. If resin is not mixed 100% correctly it may get white streaks due to styrene wax build up on the surface when curing. Marbelite can tend to obtain a build-up of white efflourescence of calcium and lime. It is vitally important to brush and maintain the PH of the water correctly in the first few months to prevent a build-up of these deposits: ( our water is usually low in calcium.) The water draws the calcium out the plaster. It is advisable to have your water tested at a reputable pool shop when adding new water for the first time.
